...with the offers. I know how many of you feel about Fleet, but they keep sending me pre-approvals. The latest one was for 0% for purchases & balance transfers until Sept. 2002 and a go to rate of 8.9%. Can they be that bad? I guess I'm trying to convince myself that I should take them up on the offer. Maybe I need some more horror stories to help me deliver the offer to the shredder. It's really getting tough!! :-D ...or some success stories to help me turn in the pre-approval. ;-) Whatcha' got??
LOL, I just think that their new advertising campaign where the woman holds up the Fleet card next to her face and says "I need a Fleet!" is borderline nauseating for some reason. Doc
miles, I have two accounts with them and so far I don't have any problems with them. I had Edvance Card with them for over two years and Fusion Smart Card for over a year. You can increase your credit limit through their phone automated system. I can't get them to lower card's APR. You can pay your bills online. I think you got good rate 8.9% from them. My Edvance Card is 15.99% variable and the Fusion Card is 11.99% fixed. Ron.
For a deal that good I'd consider applying (though I have had a bad experience with Fleet in the past). Just make sure the fine print doesn't say that they can assign you less favorable terms at their option. -ingenue
If history has taught us anything, there are no low fixed rates with Fleet; Either because they aren't low or they aren't truly fixed. Fleet will jack up your rate when you least expect it, for any reason or for no reason. It is precisely that policy that has earned them 85% - 100% disapproval rate among Epinion reviewers. Whether or not to join that statistics is your decision. I'm sure you'll make the right one, Miles. Saar
