Last year I applied online for a Fleet card and was approved instantly for a $2,500 limit. I was pissed at the limit and never used the card. In January I called to close it and they told me if I kept it until April I would get a CL increase if I called in. I haven't even logged into the account access since January so I logged in today because I was going to call them. I saw my limit was increased to $3,700 without any action on my part at all. Funny for a card I've never even used.
I was just approved last week for their card. How many months was it from the date you opened the account until you got the increase?
Since I haven't logged on to my account since January, all I can tell you is that I got the card in August and the magic increase happened sometime between January and today.
9 months for the first increase. I also was recently approved for a 2.5k card (never used for the same reason-low limit) but the APR is very good 7.9% fixed. I also have a 3.5k limit with them. I have 3k balance at 0% until July03. They told me that the first increase will be granted on that month (July). My goal is to combine after the limit increases. They have told me that I can´t combine(?). I will try it again later
