I received Fleet Titanium Card and approval notice from the mail. I opened the envelope and found out that I was approved for $1000 CL TOY CARD. I have three accounts with them in good standing and I don't believe they gave me lousy $1000 CL TOY CARD. I called credit department to raise credit limit of the card. They told me it take nine months to consider 9 months for limit increase. Ron.
I hope you told them what to do with their "TOY" card??? [EDIT] COMBINE WITH ANOTHER CARD YOU HAVE WITH THEM & CLOSE IT
Hello Ron, Well Congrats and sorry to hear that they gave you a toy card $1000 at least you did get approved by them... they are really strict on the credit lines... I got approved by them last year for the Titanium Card and they gave me $2500 to start which is okay try to call credit to raise it nope no go for 9 mons and which 6 mons must be active in order to be consider... well last month was my 9 mons with them they gave me another $2000 more... so yeah 9 mons is a long time to wait... but you will get the card credit line higher in time... I hope that you are still happy that you were approved by them... anyways hope I try to cheer you up help a little Thx, Kev
jeje..Enjoy it!. They gave me the lowest limits I have. One is at 2.5k and the other one 3.5k visa platinums and they say it can not be combined. I kept them because it came with 0% intro for 9 months(Invitation) I have never used the 2.5k limit card

kevin, I was disappointed that they gave me $1000 because I have good standing with all credit card accounts with them and no bad credit on all my credit report.. I think it is toughest one to get and they don't give you generous credit lines. I used it to buy camera battery today for my brother. They gave me 0% for purchases and orginally I want to purchases computer. Now I can't buy a computer with this card with $1000 CL. I called them to ask for increase and they told me I have to use it the account for at least 9 months for limit increase. Ron.
George, It is better than Juniper and they give me $500 CL. They closed my account after a year. Ron.

Re: Fleet Titanium TOY CARD I would like to claim credit for originating the term "toy card." I used it on Creditnet about 3 years ago, when I had never read it on Creditnet or anywhere else. Originally, I was referring to my $200 Capital One Visa (now $2200.) I was thinking of cards in the $100-$500 range, although I support expanding the concept to include $1000 cards at least. Holding several cards at $500 or less, I simply lacked the vision of Ron and others.

STATE FARM GAVE ME A "TOY" CARD...MY LOWEST WAS $5,000 THEY GAVE ME $1,000...I CLOSED IT BEFORE USING IT!!! They called me and asked why...I TOLD THEM I DON'T NEED A "TOY" CARD!!! They raised it to $5,000...but I later closed it over the "NON EXISTING" BT!!! F.Y.I.~~Almost everybody gets TARGET guest card at $200
