I have a question that is opposite of what we do here, but thought someone might know. Aside from illegally pulling a credit report (which I will NOT do) how can I ensure that the $25,000 in back child support owed to me is listed on my ex's credit report? Does anyone have a clue? I tried asking my local CSE, but they said that they don't do it, they think that the California Franchise Tax Board does, but they are not sure. Any ideas anyone?
You are a creditor with a permissible purpose. Find a lawyer, or perhaps a support group legal assistance program to do a "hard" on his credit reports.
Why Chat, you are the bomb! I never even thought about that. I am a creditor and do have PP. LOL Talk about the tables turning! Thanks!
My friend works in the (calif) child support division of the District Attorneys office. I will ask her the next time I see her, she might know.
I spoke with my friend in the Child Support division. She said that they do report back child support to the CRAs and that also, if I person owns a home and tries to re-fi, that they have to pay the balance (back support) off before they can re-fi. I asked her if she is able to pull a credit report and she said she isn't. But you may be able to , as mentioned above. 3day
Thanks for all the info! I am going back to TN on the 25th because he has a contempt hearing, so maybe I will see what I can find out.
Simply contact your local district attorney... My wife is runs her family business and she has to deal with them all the time on behalf of her workers. They take care of all of the collection efforts for you here in California. Most DA offices have people dedicated to nothing but collecting child support.... They can attach wages, force hearings, enter things on credit reports, etc. aiki
