If you have a judgment against you that was FILED in Florida before Oct.1,2001, PLEASE BE WARNED !!

The deadline for REFILING is Oct.2003, (see the bottom of the Florida page on my website for a complete explanation)

The CA CANNOT refile this without having verification of your current address, and ss# in writing FROM YOU.

Do NOT respond in any way to the CA, either by filling out a "privacy form" they have sent you,or by disputing/validating a NEW entry by them on your credit report.

    Hi Why,

Well October is approaching and my $1700 AMEX judgment has not be refiled. Any pointers on Nov 1, 2003 what to do?

What about if you have been making payments on the judgement amount??

If you have been making payments on a filed judgment then you have entered into a new presumably signed contract, wich if you breach, could be the basis of a new claim and lawsuit.

If, on the other hand, you are paying on the basis of a mediated settlement, and the judgment was NOT entered,if you breach the agreement it will be entered and be valid for enforcement upon filng.

As to what happens after Nov. 1-- as I said earlier, I am waiting until then to see exactly how the registry is going to treat existing filed judgments that have not been refiled.

Given that CHOD is coming up, it may be a good time to dispute these VOID judgments starting 11/15.

I have every intention of paying it off (its almost there) it was only 1700 to begin with I was just wondering if becasue I was sending them a check through my bank with my address on it if that would be all the verification they need even though it is a different address than when it was filed the only report it is on is experian, and they are bastards about re investigating equifax took me a couple of tries to get off it was never on TU, my scores are TU-702 EQ-687 EXP-634 (not good for tring to get a stated income construction loan) I hate experian too bad the big computer worm didnt get em
