Flyingifr...I need your help!

    I need to know how to file a complaint against a company with the IRS. I'd prefer to talk to someone in person, if I could.

    What's the nature of the commplaint? Tax Fraud? Money laundering?

    I'm sorry I don't have time to look up the post. I addressed it to you about a 1099c issued to me by cap 1 for the tax year 2000. The search is under flyingifr..is it time for an its, and I bumped it up yesterday. I'd like to file a complaint with the IRS
    for Cap 1 now trying to collect $1900 on an account they issued a 1099c for.

    IRS is the wrong forum for your complaint. Just keep notes about Cap1's continued collection efforts in your 2000 tax files to show Cap1 did NOT forgive the debt in case of an audit.

    IRS can't do anything to Cap1 about this.
