    CROSS COUNTRY BANK
Good god they are ruthless...Recieved my statement and there are 2 finance charges on bill..One for Purchases and another one showing a cash advance charge..Total finance charges on card for this period is $10.72..Balance on Card is $302 limit is $750.. I HAVE NEVER had a cash advance on any of my credit cards. SO I call them today and did not have my statement.. Lady stated that there never have been cash advances on my credit card, she is lucky I did not have my statement with me at work..SHe tried to make me sound like I was crazy or miss reading something. And to top it off at the end of the conversation she asked me if I wanted to do a phone pay and the fee is only $7.00 HAHAHAHAHA...DAMN IT..I am now closing the damn card and I will PFB the hell out of them once my account is closed just to warn everyone about the way they prey on subprimers..Just had to rant a little

I worked for them a LONG time ago.

The original fees that they put on your card to open the account is put on as a cash advance. This is how they charge you 2x finance charge.

Make sure they send you a "0" balance letter with account closed by consumer. I would also write them just to make sure the request goes in. "phoning does not protect your rights".

They also charge for calling and each button that your press on the automated system.

I didn't know who they were when I first started with them. But I do know. I only lasted 3 mos. This was in 1998.

I agree 100% with you Saar. But so many people are so happy about getting a credit card that they don't read the terms.

Everything is in black and white in the cardholder's agreement.

Also, "use of card constitute's acceptance of terms." I'll remember that phrase for the rest of my life! I was in the correspondence dept. and I cannot begin to tell you the amount of letters I had to write regarding telling them they should read the paperwork first.
