I have heard that it is best not to have too many trade lines. I have four on Equifax right now and at the time I applyed for a 90 days same as cash deal at a furniture place through Wells fargo, I had three. I had a score at the time of 755. So of course I thought I would get a lousy kitchen table financed. Well... appartently I was turned down because they have a policy of only granting someone credit who has five tradelines and I believe they should be at least two years old. Amazing. So much for a high score.
