Well, I've been house-hunting these last few weeks and I've found one I like. I am going to lay down the earnest money today and start the process. My scores are: EQ 660 EX 702 TU 601 (but Eloan this morning says 674) I'll let everyone know what the real mortgage scores are when they pull my reports.

I was 600's across the board when we went for the property mortgage, wife was in the high 700s. And I have a Log Home on layaway (don't laugh). We'll be hopefully building it next spring.
It's a program that Jim Barna Log Systems has. There are price increases on the kits almost every year. Their layaway plan lets you lock in the price and pay 10% of the purchase price over 2 years, no interest. You can take delivery of the logs anytime within the 2 years, but have to take delivery at the end of the layaway period.

Wow -- I've never signed my name so much in my entire life. I'll post more details later but I picked a lot today and they should have the home built by August. I meet with the lender later in the week -- I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes. My I showed the real estate agent printouts of all three reports and my scores and he's very optimistic.
