    Hey gang,
Two Experian Reports with Montgomery Ward/MWCC:

First one Dated 28 JUN 01

    Paid in Settlement
    Date Opened: 11/91
    Reported Since: 05/96
    Date of Status: 03/00
    Last Reported: 03/00
This account scheduled to remain on record until 11/02
    Charge off as of 05/96

    Today's report (online)

    Paid in Settlement
    Date Opened: 11/1991
    Reported Since: 06/2000
    Date of Status: 06/2000
    Last Reported: 06/2000
This account is scheduled to continue on record until 6-2007.

Do I dispute this again with Experian? The only contact info they have for MWards is a PO box...

    Thanks,
    Hurricane

Did they delete this in Nov. and reinsert it, or did they not remove it and just updated it?

I think I would send Experian a copy of the report that shows it to be deleted in Nov 2002 and demand they remove it now.

I think what happened was the I disputed it in 9/02 and it came back verified...I was trying to get it off early...when it came back verified, I figured "what the heck, I'll just wait a couple of months and it will go away"

What threw me off is that Experian put this account in my "Positive tradelines" section of my report. I just happened to be checking for something else and the "positive in 2007" date just stood out, luckily, I have been printing out reports every 6 months or so (with the report numbers). As soon as I saw it, I knew what had happened..

    Thanks again..

You most definitely have a reageing here and if I were in your shoes I would go for the gold and sue them in US Federal District Court.

    The damages could be huge.

    Yup, I'm with Bill.

But first, dispute the account as obsolete. If the EVIL EXP verifies, burn their @sses in Federal Court.

Well, going after Exp is one thing but the listing in question was probably not generated by EXP and generally speaking jumping on the wrong horse is not a winning way to fight the battle.
