How long until a "Fraud alert" is removed from your credit reports?

DID YOU YOU ASK FOR IT???

"IF" you did not request it...YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO REMOVE IT IN 1-30 DAYS..."NOT MY STATEMENT--PLEASE REMOVE"

Typically 90 days. I deal w/ fraud victims all the time. When I go into the credit bureaus to do research, and a customer has a consumer statement(fraud alert) there's a message that reads "this alert will be maintained for 90 days from XX date"... That's standard, but I think you have the option to keep it on there a lot longer.

"IF" it is there WITH-OUT PERMISSION (OF THE CONSUMER) it should be able to be REMOVED WAY FASTER THAN 90 DAYS...
