I got a copy of my Equifax report online and disputed a couple of things. They sent me a letter asking for verification and they put FLT after my file number, I thinks this means Fraud Alert.

I think it's because the address that I currently live is not the address they have on file. I've read on this board that Equifax only keep the previous 3 addresses. This is my mother's address and I have lived there before.

What should I do? Should I send them the information their asking for? Can I get the Fraud Alert removed?

Their asking for a pay stub, utility bill at current address in my name, rental agreement at current address in my name, drivers license or notarized statement verifying current address. I just recently moved back in with my mother. I haven't had a chance to change my address on my driver's license nor have I changed it at worked yet. If I have to send them verification, it would have to be a notarized statement. I just want to get some ideas on what I should do.

    Thanks.

Anything you send to a CRA will somehow be used against you. "Investigate" means they have the burden of proof, not you.

As far as the Utility bill, license or notarized statement is concerned, they are asking for proof taht you are who you say you are. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT send them anything specific to any particular debt.
