The Orchard bank has suspended my account, penalizing me for making pre-payments, claiming absurd things such that it didn't get the payments, while I have the already deposited and cashed checks by the Orchard bank. It still denies it.
The bank would rather make moneies on interests, penalties, late charges, etc and would penalize a cardmember who pays in full before the due date.
That's a fraud, which is being addressed by legal means.
Anyone having any expereince with similar or other violations by the Orchard is welcomed to submitt it to me at LeoNY@consultant.com or to the legal team handling the case: Legal-Action@Justice.com

    This is disturbing news.

Up until recently I had considered (and publicly proclaimed) Orchard Bank as having the best unsecured card in the sub-prime market as well as having the best customer support and friendliest site.

But first things first. Tell me Leo are you a recent customer or have you been making similar payment patterns for an extended period of time?

If the former this "may" be a case of incompetence and may still be 'possible' to resolve, if the latter than I fear that its current owner Household Bank is going full tilt into making this another ripoff, crooked institution and if so I urge EVERYBODY to get out as quickly as possible.

Also, good luck with your lawsuit, though with the evidence you have this is a 'slam dunk' case.

My personal conviction is that this is 'only way' to get justice with crooked companies and if what I fear has happened with Orchard Bank this will turn into a common occurence.

They have also suspended my account due to over payment. I accidently sent them two checks and now have a credit balance of <$512.73>. Both checks have cleared my bank, as of two weeks ago.

I'M fairly new at this but what does suspend
me, is it the same as close, if theyclose the account don't they have to send you over
payment amount within 7 days per the federal law. There's probably alot of people here
who like to know about suspended accounts.
    Thanks bg

It means they put a hold on my account. Instead of closing the account, they just put a hold on it to prevent me from using the account. As for refunding my credit balance, I have to wait until my next closing date...so they say.

If you close the account, they have no choice but to issue you a refund of the credit balance within 7 days per federal law, no matter what your closing date is.
