Received a letter from Citi Commerce Solutions regarding an account they can not validate. The letter states:

    -----------------------------------------------------------
    Mr. Letter Sender
    1234 Anywhere USA
    Yesser, XX 11111

It is very important that we speak with you concerning the above referenced account. It is our understanding that you may have possibly been a victim of credit card fraud and we need to clarify certain facts in order to confirm this.

CCS is commited to conducting a complete investigation. Please call between the hours of 7:00AM and 3:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday at 1-888-xxx-xxxx. Your failure to contact us to discuss this matter could impede our investigation. Thank you for assisting us in this matter.

    Sincerely,

    Ok - some bakground:

I had asked the OC to validate the account and send me proof of it. They sent me a copy of the application for the credit card and it did not have my social security number or signature. My name was written on the signature line (not by me) and they tied the account to both me and my ex, although she had never even used my social security number because she did not know it.

I sent a letter to the OC after they validated asking that they remove the tradeline b'cause it was obviously not mine due to lack of social security and a signature mismatch. about 40 days went by and they mailed me the letter above.

I do not believe that calling is the right avenue to pursue. If you read their letter they seem to be trying to feel me out. If they thought it was fraud then where is the fraud affidavit?

I need some help from some pro's on the board.

This is NOT the PROOF I asked for...please do what I asked...I asked for PROOF that this account is mine...

APPLICATION WITH MY SS#...MY SIGNATURE...MY ADDRESS AT THAT TIME...ANY CHARGE RECEIPTS...ANY PROOF OF PAYMENTS...

    Or some such words...
