I got an email from Citi today for what I think is a pretty damn good deal. If you spend 200.00 a month at participating resturaunts you get 25.00 in free AOL. This plan is GREAT for those who charge business expenses then are reimbursed through your company. Once a week my husband is "responsible" for ordering out for his company. He is always paid back in full on his paycheck with his reciept. This means that every 2 weeks he will get 25.00 in free AOL (on average he spends 110 a week). Most of the places they eat at are on the list. From Big Boys to the 80.00 a plate places! *********AOL Dining (Keyword: FreeTime Dining) offers you the opportunity to earn Credit toward your basic monthly AOL membership fees while you dine at your favorite restaurants. Each time you have a qualified dine at a participating restaurant using a registered credit card, your bill will be applied to your AOL Dining Account Summary. Each time your AOL Dining balance reaches $200, you earn a Credit! You may either apply your Credit, a $23.90 value, toward your own basic monthly AOL membership fees, or gift it to a friend. To join, simply: 1. Register your credit card in the AOL Dining program by clicking on "Register" from the AOL Dining main page. 2. Dine at a participating restaurant. 3. Pay with the credit card you registered with AOL Dining. 4. Earn AOL FreeTime Online Credit! It's that simple! When you pay with your registered credit card, your dine is processed and your total qualified dining spend is posted to your AOL Dining Statement within 10 days. And remember when you register your Citibank Card you receive a $25 bonus in your Dining Statement.**********
Shoot to late to edit. I just noticed that I typed in 200.00 a month...that is not correct. It is once you spend 200.00 period.
It sounds like a good deal if you already use AOL and are satisfied with it. But, if you don't already use AOL, you don't want to switch. Way too many problems and their customer service is terrible. And, once you do use them, you can never get it off your computer. I even formatted my hard drive, wiping everything off. Then the little box popped up "do you want to sign on with AOL now?" If you want something more reliable than AOL, and with much better customer service, try what we used to do as kids. Get two empty cans and tie a long string between them and pretend it is a phone. Works a lot better than AOL. Sorry about the rant, but I had a lot of problems with AOL.
It seems that you either love AOL or hate them. I have never had a problem. My service has always worked and I have never had to call customer serivice. I have has AOL for 6 years. We use Prodigy at work and it seems there is a problem with them every other day. Anyway, IF you have AOL and you like them, this program is really a great deal.
