I would assume it's a FICO as it's from Equifax directly so it should be the correct one.

EQUIFAX DOES NOT HAVE A F.A.C.O.

Re: Re: Free Equifax CR & FICO Score

I said one can assume it's a FICO cause it came from Equifax...equifax doesn't have FACO so yes you can assume it is FICO by that fact.

Why did you have to correct me cause I said ASSUME...??? Should i have said:

YES it is a FICO cause it came from Equifax....

There I didn't say ASSUME....is that better english?

    I GIVE UP.....

I thought somebody may ASSUME they may not get F.I.C.O. from EQUIFAX...

EQUIFAX ONLY HAS F.I.C.O. AVAILABLE (THEY WON'T EVER GIVE F.A.C.O.)

Thank you for requesting Score Power. While we are able to access your Credit Report, we are not able to access your score at this time. You will automatically be given a refund.

    GAH!

I want my money back, now!!! erhm...

. . .I never have been able to use their service, not since they started it up. Guess I still have too many soft inquiries or something.

    Bummer!

SCORES ARE NOT BASED ON SOFT INQUIRES...

There must be some other problem...

Re: Re: Free Equifax CR & FICO Score

Last night I paid $9.95 at myFICO.com. This morning I used this free one. The two scores were exactly the same. The two reports were also the same. This proves Equifax uses FICO even though most of us already knew that.

I thought it would have been cool if the two scores would have been different. That would have opened up something to discuss here.

    ....I got the same message

I know I have a very THIN credit history especially with EQFX, but shouldn't I still have a FICO score?
FAKO scores are between 660-700 on EXP and TU!

My score was 25 points lower than the Equifax score from PrivacyGuard. So I guess PrivacyGuard takes the info on reports and does its own scoring.

I just went through this with someone and made a phone call to ask WTF? The FICO score is ZERO. No positive open accounts within the last 6 months. Fair Isacc can not come up with a FICO score based on that situation. Maybe this is why? Its a EQ deal.

I have a postive CCard TL as authorized user dating back to 1989!!!

I also have a new secured BoA visa account that was opened in June, 2003, pays as agreed, but I guess my score is ZERO too since I got the same message

Call them and ask, its easy!

Maybe BoA has reported the account being open but they have not updated any payment history? Secured credit cards usually do not update positive payment history as much as unsecured creditors.

TU and EX can generate these scores because they use different internal scoring methods. EQ can not though. The last person I tried this on can get a TU FICO score but no to EQ. AU? No idea, is it updated?

    Call them!

If you're talking about my comment that my score was 25 points lower, I'm sure the difference depends on the circumstances. Don't just assume your score would be 25 points lower.
