I just posted this on CB so I figured I would post here as well. Hope this helps.

    Call Experian at 888-397-3742

    Option two

    Option two again

    Option four...

    Follow prompts...

Then they will issue a report number...as soon as they do.. head for your computer....

Put in the report number...social...state and zip..and BAM

Your Experian report. You will also get a hard copy in the mail.

First page on Exp you hit "dispute it online" (lower left) then second page you hit "dispute info on you're report" then it will prompt you for the conf# and social

Nope, as long as you have the correct conf# it will take you right to you're report.

Hmmm. I have disputed online with EXP before w/o a problem. I recently sent them a procedural request which they have ignored. If I try an online dispute it does take me to my report but it doesn't offer me a way to dispute like it did before. Did they change the interface and I am missing the correct sequence or have they locked me out of online disputes for now? Thanks!

And after you get confirmation it puts a fraud alert on your account and they send it to all the other CRAs as well.

Is there anyway to get rid of this?

Does it hurt you to have a fraud alert on your file?

    pnwman,

you may have already done this, but this is how I get to the disputes:

    * login
    * in the light blue box next to your name, click on "Potentially Negative Items"
    * from the list of accounts, click on an account name
*from the account summary there should be a choice in the light blue box at the top which says "Request an Investigation", click there

If that doesn't work, the must have locked you out (although that seems unlikely, it would take an awful lot of programming to be able to do that I would think).

    Hope this helps you!
