UPFRONT REWARDS VISA Minneapolis-based Universal Savings Bank has expanded its free computer offer to include notebook PCs from Dell and IBM. The "Upfront Rewards VISA Platinum" gives cardholders a brand new laptop computer in exchange for transferring a balance of at least $5,000 from other credit cards and maintaining a balance of at least $3,500 on the card for at least 18 months. link: http://www.4mylaptop.com Ron.
yah then they jack your apr up, and you realize that you just paid more for a cheap laptop they bought in quantity in interest rates. this has been discussed thoroughly on fatwallet.com (everyone should be a member there) before. its not profitable to do this. i guess if you plan to default on the card, it could be profitable lol.
This is such an interesting scam/offer?? Chills went down the Dogman's tail when I saw a COLUMBUS, GA mailing or bill address. Instantly thought Columbus Bank is offering this card. You know, the ASPIRE gang? SAM - you are right. Think of the deal - You COMMIT you will keep that BT for 3 yrs.... They JACK you to WHATEVER% - and you cannot pay it off because you contracted for 36 months. ALERT #2: Nothing about APR anywhere. Maybe in the mailer, but nowhere on the website. BUT, HP has allowed them to partner and put up the official HP customer service number on their site.... I REALLY like the real CS hours - 8-5pm/M-F/EST. Its so convenient for California - call them at 5 am and no later than 1 pm - because they close at 2 pm CA time LOL! I got a DELL laptop anyway - like everybody else on here.... Interesting scam though. just the dogman opinion.
scam, huh. my dh agrees. we've been looking for a laptop for about a month. a friend got a great deal on ebay. we might do that. does 'everybody else' here really like Dell?
