I ran into a lady on the internet who promises to find grants for people for whatever purpose. I spoke with her on the phone a time or two and she charges $25.00 for finding a grant for you and promises to give you back $50 if she fails to get a grant for you. Then she charges you another $100 when you get your grant. She says that quite a few people have got their grants nnd then beat her out of the $100 after she got them their grant money, so that kinda make me think she is on the UP & UP. She's no "slick talker" Just sounds like an average housewife or whatever. If you want her email addy send me an email and I'll give it to you. She never promised me any kickbacks, so I don't even care if you tell her where you got her name or not. If it helps somebody, so be it. If it's a rip-off, sorry about that. I didn't know. Seems like the most she could rip you off for is the $25
Bill, I ran across this old post and couldn't help wondering what sort of feedback, if any, you had gotten from those who contacted this lady. Anything to it?
Yes, I have had some feedback from a lady who used to post here quite a lot. She tells me that about 4-5 people she knows of have all been burned by this scam. She seems quite active in trying to track them down and bring them to justice but apparently isn't having all that much luck so far. There have been some newspaper articles she knows of that have decried this scam too. There is no doubt whatever that it is a scam being conducted nationwide.
