Received a letter from Trans Union today. Because it was my second dispute, they have considered it frivolous. It was for a medical collection account for $242.00 from 1997. I disputed it both times as not mine. While in dispute I received a bill from the collection company, which I ignored. I really do not remember receiving a bill from the hospital back in 1997 and I had insurance. I donâ??t even remember receiving anything from this collection agency. It is possible I did, but I do not remember. Anyway, I have been searching for several days for a letter to send to TU, and I canâ??t find anything specific for a medical collection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS: I donâ??t know if this means anything, but I checked my report for the last few days and right above this trade line it reads:
Re-investigation consumer disputes ( or something like this)

a couple of questions for you:

did you contact the hopsital and the insurance company about the bill?

I had a similar situation and it turned out to be a billing error due to the fact that the hopsital had the wrong address and the wrong insurance info on me.
I got them to agree to remove any bad remarks from my Credit reports from them and the CA..
