For those dealing with United Recovery Systems (URS), see the following link. http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2002/04/unitedrecovery.htm The FTC filed an enforcement action against them last month for violations of FDCPA, specifically against Spanish-speaking consumers, but the action applies to all. Among other things, URS must now provide a special phone number and address for consumers to file complaints about the way the collection is being handled.
