Below is the link to file an FTC complaint online.

    https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

After you file it print it out. Call the debt Collection Company or Creditor back and ask for a fax number. Send them a written notice to 1) cease and desists contacting you via phone 2) show that you have filed a complaint and mean business. Mail it and fax it.

Send this correspondence attn to the COMPLAINCE DEPARTMENT.

IF a third party debt collector did this to you. On your note to them inform them that you plan on sending a copy to the original creditor so they will be aware of their "illegal collection practices". 3rd parties are TERRIFIED of this. They could lose their contract with that creditor for not follow the FFDCPA. AMEX is so serious about this that debt collectors who collect for AMEX are required to 1) have a camera film them at all times 2) move desk every few days. AMEX does not tolerate violations. The creditors are afraid they will be sued for the 3rd parties actions.

Sent a separate e-mail. If the Third party Debt Collection Company violated your rights under the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
