I filed a complaint against Equifax, since I haven't had any inquiry disputes with Trans Union (it's not used much here in southern CA). But count me in anyway!

Im in! For the record, I am going to enter one for Equifax and one for TU!

    -Dave

PS Just did it for both TU and EQ - you can simply hit the BACK button and change the info that needs to be changed (company name/address/phone#) and re-submit Equifax AND TU easily

FYI to be prepared, you will need address and phone # for the CRA you complain about in order to fill out the form.

Yeah, I just got that form letter mumbo jumbo from TU saying that "permissible purpose" BS. I will be sending my complaint to the FTC as well regarding this FOS CRA!!

I may be able to help here. I had a recent collection inquiry from AMEX that AMEX just admitted they have no clue who/why someone was in my credit...

I've been disputing inquiries. I'll have a response by 3 weeks from now. I just got the confirmation by AMEX that they acknowledge it was unauthorized... and they're removing it and sending me confirmation.

Let's just wait and see what the 3 Stooges do. I'm guessing TU will "not dispute". Whatcha want to bet the other 2 'verify' it... :)

OH please verify please verify please verify.

Add fuel to my lawsuit. This is a legitimate gripe I could send to the FTC. I'll let you know what I get back from them.

Why don't we all add just a bit to our complaints. If inquiries count against us, lets see if we can force the CRA's to add another category of inquiries for unauthorized "permissable purpose" inquiries such as for insurance, collection agency's, etc... They Should all count as soft inquiries. It says right on the FICO web sight that inquiries affect a person's score because people actively seeking credit are a higher credit risk, so it lowers their score accordingly. No reason for my score to be lower if I get a quote for insurance.
