i read on another message board that the items you dispute will show up on a full factual report - typically pulled by lenders. i have never encountered this as a lender (where people had items show up that had been deleted). so i asked around a coworker told me that debts past the 7 year mark still show up on full factuals - but again, i have never personally encountered this. i guess my customers haven't heard of credit repair (they leave that to me) has anyone encountered this and if so, what is the point of disputing then? or the 7 year reporting period for that matter?
This is a wild guess, and I've never seen one either but here goes. There's a rule that BK falls off report at 10 years. BUT if applying for employment for a $75K + salary (I *WISH*) then they have the right to BK info past the 10 years. Ever heard of that?? I'm guessing THAT is the purpose of a full factual. Others? G.H.
Its in the FCRA that if you are applying for a job over 75K, or a loan over 150K, they can go back past the 7 years, however if items are disputed away, the shouldn't be in the full factual, as they are "unproven". Interesting factoid , TX version of the FCRA acknowledges the difference between a credit file, and a credit report still studying on possible ramifications.
