It's seems that FUSA is part of Bank 1. Does anyone know what the difference is between their cards? I have had offers from both. Is one better than the other? Are they subprime? Prime? Anyone?

Is that a "subprime" answer? Are they scoundrels?

If you want to know why here we go:

just use search engine for the First Scams or FUSA Scams.

I've had FUSA and haven't had too many problems with them at all. They increased my limit several times w/o my asking and my APR is a 9.something now. BUT....I was late once or twice a couple of years ago (not 30 days late..just a week or so late) and they jacked up the APR to like 22 but after 6 months they lowered it back w/o my asking.

Thanks. So you've had their card for sometime. Were the original limits good? Did they start you out with a low-end card (whatever that is) or did it have good terms.

Well "platy" that was more informative than the last link. Thanks. I noticed they even used the word "scoundrels" to describe them. Anyway, I applied several days ago for a VISA signature card. It was on impulse. I do the same thing when I buy a car (at least lately). Buy it and then have it checked out! I'm just wondering if they'll give me a "lesser" card.

Well my credit has always been good ..never been below 650 or so. I started out with about a 7K limit i think a few years ago. It's up to 12K now. Original APR was low if I recall correctly b/c that is why I initially got the card..to transfer from my MBNA card. Cap One is only card that has kept my limit at less than 6K. My BofA is about 8K i think and my new Fleet is 10K.
