How's everyone? Haven't posted for awhile. Anyway, got a cc offer in the mail and wanted opinions 'cause I don't want a wasted inquiry. First it's "pre-selected", Bank One Platinum Visa, no annual fee, 1.9% intro rate, then 4.75%, credit limit from 5000 to 100,000. I can't find this card on their website. Have to mail in or call. Anyone else get this?

I'd stay away from Bank One - of course my opinion may be a little warped since I'm a disgruntled former customer service rep :)

I will say this though: Bank One/First USA co-brand cards (Company cards like Yahoo visa) have restrictions as to the fees that they can charge you (Hence - they screw you they don't look good to Yahoo). But since this is Bank One's card then the skys the limit as to what they can do to you.

Not trying to sway your decision - just wanted you to be informed in advance...

Actually I don't need another new account. I get tempted by offers. But it would be nice to transfer a balance from one of my Providian cards. To go from 16.9 to 1.9 risking an inquiry, new account, or even a denial, well, I don't know. Anyway, thanks for the info.

    jsever,

I have both Yahoo! Visa for two years and Smart Visa for a year. I didn't have any problem with First USA so far. Last December they lowered my Yahoo! visa rate from 13.99% to 10.99%. Recently they sent pre-selcted for another Visa called Free Cash Rewards Platinum Visa Card. If you charge every 2500 they give you the choice of check of $25.00 or $25.00 gift certificates of favorite store such as Best Buy, Barnes & Nobles and others.
