Received "Pre-Qualified" offer, 0% APR till April 02. 10.99% Fixed APR. Is this a good reliable card or should it be fed to the --SHREDMASTER--. My beacon score is 645 will I have a good chance to receive this card? I hate to waste an inquiry. What does pre-qualified mean. Thanks Redline
Redline, Not to change your mind, but I consider Fleet to be the Cross Country of the prime market. (I had a nasty experience with them). There are so many better cards out there...Citibank, Amex, and Juniper to name just a few. Best of luck. Dani
Redline, well I can speak from my experience, Fleetbank was nice to me always (and I was nice to them, no lates) and helped me to build my credit history, which helped me to get AmEx in April 2001. And again simply in my own experience, I couldn't have gotten to this point without them. Good luck!
I HAD NO PROBLEMS...until I asked to trade cards...wanted to UPGRADE from PLATINUM to TITANIUM (better rates)... THEY SAID THEY CAN'T TRADE CARDS. They said apply on-line for the TITANIUM then close the PLATINUM card... I DID WHAT THEY SAID TO DO...THEN I WAS DENIED THE TITANIUM CARD AND THEY REFUSED TO RE-OPEN THE PLATINUM!!! NEVER OVER LIMIT NEVER LATE NO BK NO COLLECTIONS OLDEST ACCOUNT 1978 PS if you CLOSE the account before it is paid in full...YOU VIOLATED THE CONTRACT WITH THEM!!!! You will be punished with an interest rate approaching 30.00% (or more).

I think I'll feed this offer to the --SHREDMASTER--. I already have Amex Green CitiB. Plat 8200 cl Providian Gold 2655 cl Cap1 Gold Whopping 500 cl I dont really need onother card but I wouldn't mind a better card to replace Cap1 with. Thanks redline
