Okay, spoke with Americredit again last night...

Turns out there WAS a glitch in their system. After some convincing and explaining that I was not the only one this happened to, she finally asked the supervisor...who indeed confirmed the glitch.

Apparently, a "small" batch of accounts were transmitted this way. The scary thing is that they are unsure of which accounts were and which accounts were not submitted with the bk info, so they are just compiling a list as angry customers call in.

Procedure: Call Americredit...they are collecting the names and acct of people this happened to. The will gather the info, forward to the supervisor handling it and update all accounts with the correct info. A dispute request is not necessary with the CRA's. Of course, this will take 30-45 days to update.

Now, one thing I did mention is my dismay at this happeneing. Many people, as I explained, do NOT check their reports on a regular basis. What happens if they are in the process of buying a home? Employment? Who knows what else? What is to keep this from happening in the future. Also, now that hubby's score is in the toilet for the next 30-45 days, how do they make up for THAT?

So, to all that this has happened to, call Americredit and not matter what, don't let the rep say "We don't see anything wrong...it must be the CRA" Climb the totem pole till you get someone who knows what they're talking about.

Good luck. Will post anymore info as I get it.

Will I get back all the FICO points I lost when this glitch is fixed?

Knowing FICO...probably not. We can be hopeful, though.

I disputed the Ch. 13 with all three cra's and EXPERIAN verified and it states that is on my account to 2010!! What the hell do I do now? I have the letter from Americredit that states this was their fault. I am calling them tomorrow to find out what the hell is going on. Their letter states that hey have sent the proper documentation on 4/1/03 to the cra's saying the account is not in CH.13. How the hell can it be verified?

OMG...I had a feeling this would happen...tu has deleted so far...exp and eq are still working on it. I often thought of what I would do if one of these mf's verified...

I know I would go off...I would call them and raise hell...I would also send them a letter and copy of the letter from Americredit...and I would file suit...all within a week, lol.

This has caused such a pain in the ass. I know there is some supporting case law...where people have sued the cra's because they refuse to delete what the oc's arent verifying.

Do a procedural request while youre at it.

    Keep me posted.

We are still wokring to get this mess straightened out.

Something I noticed...Americredit usually udpates shortly after the statement closing date. We can HOPE that when it updates, the info will be correct. Not sure if you are still paying on your loan, but ours is paid off...so we'll see if updating works.

We are still paying on this loan. We opened it 6 months ago. We have another loan with them for 13 mopnths that is okay. What letter should I send the CRA? I called Americredit and they said they would take care of it. We will see.

Did you get a letter from Americredit stating they made a mistake? I received one and will promptly forward this letter...along with my petition to sue if they verify it.

Yes I received a letter. What should I send them if they continue verify.?

If they verify on ours, I will do more than just send the letter. I will send the letter as an attachment to the petition for lawsuit. Then. I will forward same info to Americredit...

No more ITS, no more dispute requests, etc.

The only problem with sending the letter you received from Americredit to exp is that they will write you back saying they cant use your letter and that they must conduct their own investigation...direct violation of fcra.

So, long story short, I plan on skipping the kindygarden bs and suing them. This crap has gone on long enough.

Can you tell I;m bitter, LMAO???

Have you tried calling exp to find out WTF?? You may get lucky and get deletion if someone realizes they made a mistake. Or you can ask for their legal dept.

    Just another option.
