I just fixed a Duke energy id theft. Someone lifted a name and ss number to start a new account. It shows up 3 years later in a c report as unpaid. I contested it and the point here is that Duke energy dealt with it graciously and with proper alacrity, fixing it with the credit agencies as well. just saying, maybe they are not all evil. (I did circumvent the ca, however....)
