Just thought some here might be interested in the following...

We are FINALLY closing on our house in a little over a week (signed the papers to begin construction on Feb 12, 2001!!). Anyway, I knew that our mortgage guy was going to be pulling my reports for the final time yesterday so Thursday night I checked my scores. Here's what they said:

    Equifax FICO: 679
    Experian(CreditExpert): 651
Trans Union (notworthknowing.com): 10... I know this score is worthless, just thought I'd include it for full disclosure... last report I got from TU via mail was about a month ago and it said 681 then.

Saw my mortgage guy yesterday and here are the scores he received...

    Equifax: 683
    Experian: 660
    Trans Union: 733

The Experian report that he pulled also listed an account that I thought had been removed and does not show up in the online report from CreditExpert.

Also, checked my scores again today (didn't bother with Trans Union since worthknowing is useless regarding scores). Anyway, my Equifax report showed 1 inquiry and score had gone from 679 to 675. Experian showed two inquiries (?) and score went from 651 to 649.

    Congrats on the house!!

Are you planning on taking up this discrepancy with Experian? Just curious.

Don't forget you can get your CR with score from TU for free online. Just use your recent inquiry as the reason.
