....Gantos which is a dept. store that is no longer in business was deleted from my Transunion account after I filed an investigation but it still appears on Equifax and Experian...WHY!!!!...I've filed investigations and they have yet to delete this account which is now listed as Asset acceptance Corp. on my two reports...this account is over 12 years old but my report says updated as 2000...the account was opened in MI and I moved to CA over 7 years ago....who handles these investigations at the credit bureaus? The reason I ask is how can it be investigated and deleted from Transunion and not Equifax and Experian? Thanks in advance
Well, how long has it been since you disputed? and Just because ONE of the CRA's deletes, it most definetely does not mean all three will. I've found this to be true many many times.
it's been almost a year... I will be pulling my credit reports again very soon to see if there have been any changes....I know all three credit bureaus are individual companies but what I don't understand is why one company investigates and the item is deleted and the others refuse to do so....this leads me to believe that they are NOT investigating at all.
Re: Re: Gantos/asset Acceptance Corp.... I've disputed this account MULTIPLE TIMES over the years...the last time I disputed was almost (1) year ago...it appears that step one is not working so I'm past frustration and need further advise...if you are not able to assist that's ok..
