Gas Cards

I have the Chevron credit builders card. No problems what so ever. Great card to have. As a matter of fact, I just had my 1 year anniversay with this card in October. Only drawback of this card is that your minimum payment is higher that most cards. It's like 40% of your balance. It reports to all three but doesn't report your limit. Only your high balance (well at least on EFX....not sure about the others...don't have those reports in front of me). There also was an annual fee of like $35? or something but I haven't been charge another fee since then.

 

i dunno about chevron but the shell gas is super easy to get..
easier than target.
i got instant approval online my scores are a little over 600 the pulled TU.
my girlfriend got further process required card cam a few days later she is mid 500s.

Shell doesn't report though, right?

I don't know if getting an application ID is good or bad. I never got anything, just applied and then got a letter saying DENIED......BUT.....we want to offer you this card instead blah blah blah....

 

Did you and your girlfriend have any negatives when you were approved for the Shell card?

We applied earlier this year and it turned out to be a Chase Shell card, big denial.

 

there are two different cards a shell version which is just a gas card and a chase shell visa.

i have some negs including a open collection but it is two years old. my fico all around 600
my gf has numerous lates. her ficos all around 550-600

the regular shell card is the easy one to get. issued by associates national bank.

my gf and i both got 500 dollar limits. apr is 20.79 kind of ilkie but i cant complain at this point.
i hear they dont report either. my account is too new so it hasnt shown up yet.
