Recently received a ChevronTexaco cc in the mail. I will use this card only in emergencies at Chevron stations - their gas is always the highest compared to other oil companies, and there are hardly any Texaco stations around here.
One thing that surprised me is the ability to withdraw cash at ATMs. I thought strictly gas cards are limited to gas purchases.

That's what i thought to.What is their interest rate for cash advances,it should be pretty high unless you pay off every month/

Nope, years ago had a Texaco card. They are good for anything in a Texaco station, including food, and car repairs.

Don't know about cash withdrawals - never heard of such.

If you see a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or Amex symbol on the card, then you can use the gas card anywhere those card types are accepted. And likely, you'll be able initiate a cash advance. However, if there is no symbol on the card, then you'll only be able to use it at a specific company's gas stations (i.e. Chevron, Texaco).

    I didn't know Chevron even made a co-branded card.
