I recently received my Experian report. Over the last five years we had leased vehicles from GE Capital. In that time we had a total of five leases between my husband and I (joint leases). Every lease with the exception of the last one was closed out and paid in full. The last one unfortunately went back to GE due to bankruptcy. The problem is every single lease is still showing open even though 4 out of the 5 were paid off more than 2 years ago. Even the last one shows open and in good status. Because they are hanging open, there is no date of when they will come off the report and it also makes it appear like we have all this open credit that would make it look like we are overextended. This just what it appears like to me. Anyone with any experience like this and also, I am afraid if I dispute all these accounts that the CRA will assume it is frivolous. Should I call GECAL? Help!!
