Geez, Does Loyalty Mean Anything???

After waiting for one week, Mr. Ted calls to verify two 30 day late payments in April/June 2001 (during which I had a family emergency). He sympathized...reviewed my account history of 11 years and found NOTHING negative, except the two recent late payments. The best that he offered was to notate my account (at the bank only) as "due to family emergency", but would NOT agree to delete with Credit Bureaus. As a loyal customer, I want to press on, but with soft touch, initially. Any NICE delete letters out there?

What benefit do they get by puting late pays on your report?? NOTHING. I do not see why banks cannot see this, they piss off their customers, and they gain nothing.

My point exactly! So far, I plan to threaten to close my FOUR accounts (savings, checking, money market, IRA) which would only leave my car loan left. Any other ideas?

Was this a response to a PFB(excuse me if i missed this)?

No, it is not a PFB. BTW, when I explained that I am applying for a loan, Mr. Ted was quick to quip "don't worry, it's not that bad, just a small bump, this shouldn't stop you from getting approved". Hello, I was already denied last week with TU score of 525! I'm ready to write!
