So I was denied pre-qualification for a home loan through the VA and they highlighted all the "problems" on my/our credit. 3 of the problems I've already printed letters for from this site, RJM acq, and National recovery agency. I have no idea about those and I'm pissed.

As for this JcPenny's one I'm not sure what to do. I did have a JcPenny's card at one time. I do not now. On my report it says Last active 09/04, Account closed by credit grantor 11/05. Supposedly it's past due $120, and the balance is $105. I have not been mailed anything regarding this account so I don't know what to do.

From the link I found on this site the SOL for California is 4 years so what impact does that make?

Another one they have highlighted that has a zero balance and a zero past due but was past due back in 2006 is also a GEMB/Mervyns. It says last active 04/05 and Account transfered of sold; Purchased by another lender; Closed 03/07. How long will this be on my report? If the SOL is 4 years in CA will it be gone April of this year?

There's also a sears card on there that was last active 03/04 so 5 years ago! Account closed by credit grantor 11/08; Paid; Account closed by consumer; Account closed at consumers request; Account paid. It was past due at one time over 5 years ago, When will that be gone?

Can I just mail one of you more expereinced folks my report and then you can tell me how to fix it LOL.

Sorry so long and thanks in advance for any advice.

Try disputing all of them through the credit reporting agencies and report back with what's left.

    One step at a time.
