I don't post often but had such a pleasant experience with this bank that I had to comment on it. When I initially joined this board, I had a TU score of 423. After a variety of methods including disputes, deals, and litigation my score is now a 667. In terms of revolving credit I have $17k with $7k used..(I was turned down by Chase for low utilization...whatever!!!) I applied with Generations Bank today to refinance my 14% and 12% car loans and received approval within 2 hours at 7.25% and 7% on a refinance. I asked politely if I qualified for credit card/line as well. On the same inquiry I was approved for a 5,000 line or card at 21.99% (horrible interest rate but apparently it declines 3% every year with on time payments). Minimum underwriting requirements was a TU FICO score 660, no deliquencies in the past year and they still have a policy of not reporting to the credit bureaus. The reps were great - they disclosed my score, told me that I could have the entire process done by Friday with a check in the mail on Monday. It is rare to find such excellent customer service.
Congrats on the card and the loan. I love my Generations card, I suggest you take the Auto pay option they pull your minimum payment out each month because after 12 months they will decrease your rate 3% each year till you get to 9.9% I did a BT and had to fax my last statement but they are very polite and professional.
