Help! I sent a debt validation letter to GFS and received back from them a letter stating that they purchased the account. (Original creditor - Bankfirst, Subsequent Credit - UCNB) The charge off date is 5/30/97. What is the next step to get this item removed from my credit reports since they have not really validated this debt?

It was a UCNB account, I do not remember opening it, so I complained to the BBB, the AG of TX, and MD (where I live) told them this, faxed the estoppel let, and prove and remove, and they faxed me an affidavit today, and she said it would be taken care of by the end of the week.
