Hey, guess what! I got my Chase statement and my APR just went from %22.99 to %24.24. Last month DH called for an APR decrease. Hit damn payoff check, hit finally! PawMix
What is AMAZING is that they are making "PRIME" customers take a "SUB-PRIME" rate!!!! BOTH OF OUR CARD ARE IN THE CLOSING STAGE... PAID OFF YESTERDAY...payments do not show yet...ONE DAY BEHIND...money is gone from the checking account...just NOT posted to the CHASE statement yet!!! (ON-LINE)
Chase is not sub prime bank Chase manhattan bank is not sub prime,but they do have some accounts that are indeed are sub prime.The reason why chase is offing some card products that appears to be sub prime is that chase has a 3 teired pricing system based on a persons CR over all risk that a person may pose to them,also i think they amended a persons agreement if they are deemed unprofitable.All a person can do if this happens to them is to call them up and get it lowered down again,if not sucessful on first try keep trying until you get the right person that will work with you. I think chase is a great bank because they just offered me a 3.99% on my mastercard with a 15K limit,and this rate is good until my balance is paid-off with them. They have in the past been offering me 9 month deals but this new deal i just got from them beats them all. If anyones gets chases 3rd teired pricing on any chase card account then they are no balance transfer offers availiable on the card accounts with a 3rd teired pricing on the account.This is known as a high risk credit card account.

Re: Chase is not sub prime bank Chase can be whatever they want. They are the only bank that jacks our fees like that. Other than an MBNA jack that was corrected after one phone call, no other bank has jacked our rates ever. We have AmEx, BofA, MBNA, AT&T Univ and NFCU Visa and they don't seem to have a problem with our credit usage. I am also rather pissed off at the attitudes of Chase CSRs who treat us like idiots. Gotta go see if the payment hit. PawMix
