I just got my TU report back from my second dispute letter 1 item deleted 7 verified My score goes from a 591 to a 574. No other changes can anyone tell me what might make this score drop like that?
Could be that the deleted account was one of your oldest tradelines and by deleting it you decreased the time you have established credit. Could be that TU often drops the score when you dispute which has been seen at TU before. Could be that the TU score is a total farse. I would go with the last explanation and forget about your TU score. Just work on getting the deletions, the score will have to improve at some point.
Welcome to the wondefurl world of credit repair and RNG (credit to George). Same thing happened to me. It didn't go up after 3-6 more deletions either - stayed the same. I was told by a TU rep that it usually jumps after the last derog comes off. Read that on the board too. I'm 1-2 away, so we shall see soon.
