As we all know, EFX likes to remove the whole positive account when you dispute just a single item in the entry (i.e. credit limit). I know TU can re-add accounts that were previously removed after disputed. Will EFX do the same? To clarify: The accounts would otherwise not be re-inserted, even if the creditor keeps reporting them. Because they were removed after disputed, EFX will normally block them from re-appearing. EFX will "filter" what the creditor reports to make sure they aren't re-inserted. Saar
One of the weirdest things about CRAs (and there are MANY as we all know) is the different experience we each have. TU has been adamant about not reinserting my nuked auto account, but EQ was very nice and put it right back after I sent them a letter from the lender. WTH??? Why are each of our experiences so random?? A lot of people here seem to post positive experiences with TU, but I don't think I have EVER had a responsive rep, whereas at Ex and Eq I've had both. Weird. Weird (and frustrating!!)
They reinserted an account that was removed as DUPLICATE in the system for my JCPenney; fortunately, I was speaking with a rep that understood the point I was making(they deleted the wrong entry with the correct balance). It remains in their "sub-system" for a period of time, but a supervisor assisted to rectify the correct entry. Sister Girl
