I am wondering if it is possible to get a judgement that I have on my credit report vacated or just removed. The judgement occured in early 2004 and was immediatly paid. It currently shows as satisfied but I want it gone. The company that filed the judgement is no longer in business (daycare center, thought I cleared the account when my child was remove but I was wrong). Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Doesn't matter who owns the judgment. Outside contractors (such as Lexis Nexis) are submitting the judgment information from the courthouses where they are public record.

Not to say you can't still try and dispute it away.

So then it is a done deal? It never can get removed?

It can be removed/deleted from the credit reports but, not vacated or set aside.

So would you suggest disputing it with the CRAs or take some other action?

So then it will ALWAYS be on your record, somewhere?
