Get LOW rates for first time buyers

    Thought this was gonna be one of those solicitations huh? Well I wanted to post a link here that just might be the cat's meow for thos efirst time buyers.

    In CERTAIN areas designated by your particular state, you can get a mortgage that is much lower (WA state's 30 year fixed is 5.1%) than what any broker can offer. How is this so? Through your state's Housing Authority...they basically sell tax exempt bonds that are used for your mortgage.

    You have to qualify for either FHA, VA, or a conventional loan but this is deffinetley somethign that is worth checking into. Here is a list of the state websites..I noticed that a couple of links didnt work but check these sites out and it may fit your needs.

    I did this in Florida via the VA.

    I got my house at 5.5 when the normal rates were around 7.5.
