get smart what a joke

    i just received notification that as of 12/02 my intrest rate will me raised to 29.99!!! is this a joke or should i shred this providan card? anyone have success getting them to reduce the apr?

    sounds like that is there way of getting you to leave. Like how you stop being cordial to a visitor you want to leave. LOL

    TELL THEM...DON'T ASK...

    "I see my interest rate is 20.00% higher than is advertised on your web site~~~reduce it to the advertised interest rate of 9.99%"

    1.9% for the first 3 monthly billing periods that your account is
    open ("Introductory Period")*. After that, 9.99% variable.

    Were you able to get them to say they aren't going to raise your rate??

    Mine isn't due to start until Dec also. Would it be too soon to PF now??? When was yours going to be effective?

    Everyone that had your APR raised - Was your card an original Providian card or one they bought, such as Aria?

    applied online 11/01 for get smart visa and approved instanlty cl 500

    Mine and hubby's are both Get Smart Visas.
