I am currently on the phone with pg trying to cancel my trial membership and the gal I am talking to is telling me I should keep my account because if I cancel and try to pull my CR from the CB myself I will incur a HARD! WTF?! I say, "Well wait a minute, I thought if I initiate the pulling of my report it can only be a soft inquiry." She replies that all 3 of the CB met with them about 2 weeks ago and now anytime anybody pulls a report directly from the CB they will get a negative inquiry, BUT because privacyguard has a contract with them their pulls will be coded soft. I told her no thanks, I still want to cancel and that I will be calling all 3 CB to verify this. Geesh! Hubby still has to cancel his, wonder what kind of line they will feed him! Shana
I think it's just that ... a line. I seriously doubt that it would be a hard inqury and count against a person for checking on their own report ... I mean there's just no logic to that at all! But then again, you never know! peace, delilah
