    SB 1607 will:

    * Require lenders to provide consumers with their specific credit score, what credit information went into making up the score, and an explanation of how credit scores work in the loan approval process;

    * Compel credit reporting agencies to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner; and

    * Provide additional legal recourse to consumers when credit reporting agencies continue to report inaccurate information after acknowledging that the information is incorrect

    RE: Update?

    Well yes, I posted the exact same message more than 2 months back

    Looking back over it since that time Fair Isaac has, in a surprising move of common sense, agreed to open up and share information to the public (guess I get to eat my words). Still their monopoly will not last much longer as the CRA's will soon be making available their own credit scores.

    As for further information, you'll find far more of that (and far less prostletizing and hysterics) at http://creditscoring.com/

    RE: Outhouse.com you say :)

    Yep

    And Greg Fisher, the site operator of http://creditscoring.com/ was one of the best contributors to her site until her paranoia and need for control drove him and literally all the best posters off en masse.

    (feel free to chime anytime you want bg LOL)
