Has anyone actually received or been upgrated to the GetSmart Platinum card??? I mean the 9.9%, not the classic/gold versions. I am wondering if anyone actually gets this card or if it's just an imaginary tool created by Providian to lure everyone in! Thanks!!!
I had the aria platinum card and received the getsmart platinum card when they switched to getsmart. My apr is 7.99 fixed, but I got this rate orginally with the aria account.
Wow! It does exist...may I ask if you got it outright or managed to upgrade from another version of the card. If so, how did you do it and what were your scores at the time? Thanks!
I got the aria platinum right off the bat. I am not sure what my scores were back then, this was in 99 and I wasn't even sure what scores were back then LOL. But I would have to take a guess I would say the high 600's back then.

I have the basic gold with free reader, used planet feedback and received a phone-call. Results: call back in 4 months, in the mean time have a good life. I think I misplaced the number, at least I have plenty of time to find it.

The situation with Aria was that they actually issued platinum cards, to people like Mom, but they almost never issued the cards in the middle. In other words, it was either platinum or subprime, with nothing in between. The classic Providian strategy... GetSmart seems to be a bit different in that they issue a lot of gold cards, as well as a lot of subprime cards. I'm as curious as you to find out if they ever issue the platinum card.
