Well as much as I bashed Providian a few months back cause of their rate hike... I needed to establish some more credit so I decided to try anyway for the getsmart... got it with a 1K limit. May not seem like much, but it is my first cl over 500 since I royally screwed my credit 7 years ago... boy, if I could go back I would have treated that Fleet Platinum with the respect it deserved! Anyway, just thought I would share... also got the Target guest card. It was a good credit week... just giving myself a pat on the back
Bashing Providian is a way of life here at Creditnet. LOL What APR did you get? Also when I couldn't get anything but a "Toy" card they were the only ones to give REAL limits.
