Credit History....I am have a lot of trouble getting a credit card of my own because I don't have a 'viable' credit history. I have a joint card with my husband but he is the primary person. So how do I overcome this?? I want to get my own card. Any suggestions????

If you don't qualify for the "classic" cards, try a secured card. Some popular ones are Capital One and FCNB. Good luck!

get a macy's card. Or a secured capitalone card. Both are easy and will build your credit fast!

You can apply for a Providian Visa card and build your history from there. I also started out with no history except being an AU on a dept. store card and I applied for a variety of cards and got rejected. Providian was the only company that issued me a Visa card and it was smooth sailing from there.
