Probably Texaco, or another Associates gas card like Shell, BP, or Amoco. But Texaco is probably the easiest one in that bunch. They sent me a preapproved application when I was definitely in subprime territory. I think that Chevron, Exxon, and Mobil are harder to get. Not really hard, just harder than Texaco. Conoco might be easy to get, but I'm not sure. I've never had one myself. Best wishes to you for credit success, RichGuy
Chevron was the easiest for me. They have the 'credit builder" card and when my reports were their worst and no one else would touch me,they did. No one was more surprized than myself.BTW,does anyone know if Shell reports to all 3 CRA's.
The Associates Shell card does NOT report. That was one of the features that led me to accept their offer a few months ago.
Please post the web site for Chevron. I would like to apply for their credit builder gas card. Thanks.
Just to clarify, the Chevron credit builder card has an annual fee and a fairly low credit limit, right?
Chevron credit builder card , I went to there site, I saw three cards, basic, etc, nothing said " anything about a credit building card??
The website for Chevron's Credit Card is: http://sslb0.chevron.com/cccard/en/...ge=cc_basic_card_benefits.asp&tab=creditcards Good Luck,
When I applied, I received the regular Chevron card, not the credit builder. Around that time, my score was around the lower 600's. Good Luck
http://sslb0.chevron.com/cccard/en/...asp&TargetPage=cc_welcome.asp&tab=creditcards It appeared they use Equifax, must have one C.C. Secured or whatever for over six months and a score over 600 it appears.
